The Canadians aren’t content to let the Italians win the fusion race
My bet (and hope) is that fusion is closer to reality then we realize. Especially then the media realizes. You can’t blame the media, though, they are reporting with a healthy skepticism based on the history of Fusion and the presence of a very successful and profitable fossil fuel industry.
The Canadians have a project under way with the aim of being the first to the market with fusion power.
They hope to test a prototype in 2014 and eventually become the first to commercialize the technology, offering a safe, cheap, pollution-free and virtually inexhaustible source of energy.
